All I want for Christmas is my new front tooth....

Oh wait....it's actually already in. Even better!
Last night Logan finally lost her first tooth!
At the ripe old age of 7 1/2 years!!
After about a month of complaining that it was
loose, it finally just came out. Her other tooth
had already grown in all the way, just behind
the baby tooth. So she looked a bit like JAWS
for a while! We are so glad it came out. She
was really glad that it didn't hurt. It was fun to
play tooth fairy, but a little tricky. I went to
lay down with Autumn so she would fall asleep.
Logan was already sawing logs, so I slipped the
tooth out from under her pillow. Then I went
of the room for a bit and was going to let Autumn
try to fall asleep before we put the dollar under
Logan's pillow. Then Logan woke up screaming that
her ear hurt. So we gave her some medicine and
sent her back to sleep. Good thing she didn't
notice there was no money or no tooth! This
morning she asked me if she could check under
her pillow! Funny gir! She was really happy to
find a dollar under her pillow and can't wait to tell
everyone at school!
The tooth she lost was the bottom front (on her
right side). The other one is already to move
forward now! Hope there is enough space for it.
It looks so much bigger!
More toothy shots!!

Sledding and such

James is such a wonderful dad!! He took the girls out sledding last weekend. They loved it! Followed by some yummy hot chocolate! What lucky girls! Too bad I had to work.

Santa was at FHE last monday and Logan was pretty happy to see him, although she did tell Santa she had been naughty this year. She asked for a zhu zhu pet. I guess it's all the rage this year. We'll see if she gets one! He gave her a candy cane for at least telling the truth about being naughty.
Then there was Autumn. Apparently, she did not love Santa. I was at work, so I missed out on yet another fun time with the girls! Thanks Mom Heaton and Dad Brookes for letting us borrow your cameras for the holidays, so we can capture some of these fun Christmas memories!

Our presents are all wrapped with bows standing in front of the tree! These girls are just great! Logan and Autumn in church Christmas outfits!
We hope you have a wonderful Christmas season. We are grateful for this time of year to remember the Savior and his birth. May you and your families know of our love for Him, and for all of you!! Merry Christmas!

halloween 09

Autumn gettin' ready to ask for more treats
than tricks!!
James' pumpkin
Jana's pumpkin
Logan carving her pumpkin. This was probably
the first year I didn't have to help her. It was
kind of nice!
Logan with finished pumpkin
Autumn's tiny pumpkin
Autumn carving
Logan's school halloween parade. It was the
thursday before (no school on friday-boo hoo
for me). So I had to get her ready twice :(
Autumn having returned home after only about
a half an hour, was content to just sit on the
couch with mommy. Logan went back out on
the town with daddy for a while. She was loving
checking out all her loot!
Logan as a blonde witch with spiderweb eyelashes
for her school parade.
More before the school parade. I think she looks
too grown up here!
More checking of the loot!
Logan dramatically falling down the stairs as
a black haired witch on halloween. The green
face also makes a great look for her!
Happy Halloween from two little happy trick
or treaters! They had a great night. Now we
just have to teach them to put the candy wrappers
in the trash, not on the floor!

visit to grandma's

the visit to grandma for grandpa's funeral was
sad and hard, but I think that there was a nice
time had by all, under the circumstances. a lot
of the cousins have not seen each other in years.
it really was quite amazing to have everyone
there (minus one on a mission). we had people
coming from all over the country (d.c., penn state,
co, wi, ga) to name a few. i know grandma was
so thrilled to have us all come and say our goodbyes
to our sweet grandpa! it was very hard, but I
must say I was honored to be in the presence of
some of my wonderfully talented cousins!

grandma is so awesome. i think she has more
style than i do, and she is definitely stronger
than i am. she is such a wonderful lady and i am
honored to have her name as my middle name.
i love this little lady soooooo much!!

the funeral. she was so happy and so surprised. thank
you Halversons for putting everything together for this!

Logan doesn't like to listen very often, so when she decided to open the can of cocoa herself she was blasted with powder in her face.

Fun Fall Break

We started out by going to see "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs" on friday. I took the girls and they had a great time. It was a pretty cute movie too. We were a little disappointed that the 3D stopped working about 15 minutes into the film, but they just played it in 2D, and offered us free passes for another showing. We were happy with that.
(no pics of movie going)
I have these pics backward in order. Always forget that I need to do last, first and first, last. So, anyway, this is our wonderful sunday drive up Payson Canyon. We love going for drives there! It was SOO beautiful, and our camera can't quite capture all the vivid colors. We tried anyway!

James was so excited to see deer everywhere

Grandpa Stimpson

I have dreaded this day for as long as I can remember. I have cried a million tears over leaving their house, every summer while growing up, thinking it would be the last time I would ever see him. I knew back in June, it would be the last. We had such a wonderful visit with Grandpa. He sat out on the back porch with me and split a butterfinger bar (even though I had just been crowned biggest loser, i gladly accepted). We watched the girls race around the back yard, and I was stressing that we were being too big of a pain to have around the house while dad and James worked on fixing some leaky faucets in the bathrooms. I tried listening to that little still small voice that was telling me, everything would be okay and that you better enjoy this last visit with your grandpa. He watched them dip their feet with me in the pool, and would occasionally splash us with the pool net. He seemed to love to watch them giggle. It was so great to see my grandpa and my daughters play together. I had spent so many magical days baking in the sun out on their back patio. So many wonderful games of fooze ball (sp?), marbles, going for swamps, GOLFING, fishing, four wheeling, bb guns, swimming in the pool was definitely my favorite. I loved the slide, the diving board, and especially making WAVES!!
I am so truly grateful for my sweet grandpa, who called me his "little darlin'". When he called me this, I said, "I ain't no darlin'". Those memories will stay with me always. I am even more grateful to know of the plan of happiness, and I know I will see him again! NO EMPTY SEATS! Right?! He has always been a wonderful example to me between knowing right from wrong, and I know he tried to teach us all to be our best! I hope I can always make him proud. I love you so much sweet Grandpa! We know you are in a better place now, having some wonderful reunions, with a wonderful daughter, a few wonderful grandsons, and lots of other loved ones, but we will all miss you!!!!

FINALLY........PICTURES!

SOOOOOO, here I am again! Did you miss me? Here is a little
update on part of our summer.
Logan improved her handwriting in school by the end of 1st grade,
so we said she could go to seven peaks. She worked really hard the
whole last semester to improve her grade to the highest level. We
were so proud! Me and Logan had a great time, but got a little fried!
This was toward the end of June.

Here we are at Payson Lakes on the 4th of July

we had a fun surprise visit from Kathryn (my sis)

Sometime around the end of July, we had a little family
campout up Payson Canyon! It's so beautiful up there.
I always forget how cold it gets there, even in the middle
of the summer! We had a fun time anyway!

Celebrating James' 34th birthday on August 2. His parents
came down to our house and joined us for dinner and cake
and ice cream! He got a new dutch oven, some clothes, and
a gift card to Cabela's! Another great day!

The week before school started, we made a quick trip to
California to mom and dad's for our FIRST HEATON
FAMILY REUNION!! Here we are at the sacramento
railroad museum! Very fun, and educational. Kids loved
it too!

We stayed at mom and dad's for 4 days and stayed two nights
at Bodega Bay in a fun beach house. Here we are at the beach
and there is also a picture of our house! There were crafts, games,
pictures, shopping, playing at the beach, and lots of fun family
bonding!! I hope we can continue our HEATON family reunions
very often in the future!

We decided to take a quick day trip down to S.F. since we were
so close. It was fun to walk around the pier and see the sea lions
and do a little shopping. Most of all, the chocolate heaven store was
my favorite!! I paid $5 for a giant chocolate turtle. No calories
when you are on vacation right?!! Fun times!!

AND here we have our big 2ND GRADER!!! This
was the first day of school!! She was so excited, and is
loving school so far. She has a great teacher and is making
lots of new friends. We are proud of her for doing so
well!

When I can get James to help me find the rest of my summer
pics, I'll be updating again soon!! I didn't realize how much I
missed blogging!
