Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas everyone! We are having a wonderful Christmas morning. We hope you all are too. We are grateful to be able to reflect on the Savior this day and are so grateful for Him in our lives.
We are getting ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa Brookes to do some more celebrating, but we want you all to know we love you and are thinking of you this day, even if we do not get to see you! Merry Christmas!
We will post pictures of all the LPS and tinkerbell madness a little later.

Here is a picture of Scott and Coy on the back of an elephant.

There were some really cool hand carved masks everywhere as well.

When we went to one of the temples the sun started to set, and created this lovely picture.

There were these old tribes men every once in a while just begging to have their picture taken. Little do you know that they expect money for every picture snapped. He had dread locks that almost touched the the ground, and some killer face paint to go with them.

Trip to India and Nepal

Here is a snake charmer getting his Cobra to dance. We would see people like this at all the hot spots along our travels. He was outside the wall going into the memorial for Ghandi. We were also blessed to have a birds eye view of the greatest mountain range in the world, and yes this is Mt. Everest. James and Jana sitting at the monkey temple in Kathmandu, Nepal with a breathtaking view in the background.

Incredible India!

WOW! We are back, and we had such a fun time. What an amazing trip. Nepal was wonderful as well. We got back late Wednesday night, and what a reunion that was. We missed our girls so much. I couldn't help but balling my eyes out once we picked them up from James' mom's.
We took so many pictures, and can't wait to show them to you. We have to get them on the computer and sort through which ones to post, but we'll try to get that done this weekend. We're still adjusting to the time differences, and having work and kids again after two amazing weeks! We just wanted to let you know that we are home sweet home, safe and sound!!

Happy Halloween!

Check out all our loot! These girls had such a fun
time! We walked around the neighborhood for
about two hours. We were all pretty tired by the
end, but they were both real troopers! The
weather was also fantastic. It sprinkled a tiny bit,
but it felt kind of good.

Here is Autumn the bunny!

Getting an early start...she loved all the lollipops!

Logan the pirate! Arghhh!

Primary Program

We had our lovely primary program yesterday. James' parents came down to see Logan perform. She did such a wonderful job. She got up and said " We can pray to Heavenly Father anytime, anywhere" and got down. She sang so nicely. She looked really cute up on the stand. She loves doing stuff like that. The primary chorister thought that she did such a good job in sharing time, she asked her to come see her after church and gave her a little pie pumpkin to take home! We are so proud of that little girl!

For Sherry and Lauren

Just wanted to show of my sewing skills to my cousins, since they are always showing off their wonderful projects! I slaved and slaved over these two costumes, but it will be worth it to see how happy my girls are to wear them. My girls are so lucky!

Halloween here we come!

Mom inspired these pumpkins...very easy. Just a roll of t.p. and some fabric, and WALAHHHH!!

We love halloween here, can you tell?! Are you ready? We just need to carve/decorate our pumpkins! I also have to get ready for Logan's school halloween party. I am her room mother at school this year. YIKES! Who signed me up for that? It should be fun (when it's all over and done with!) Wish me luck!

I'm thinking about it

So maybe all you bloggers out there have some quick comebacks or advice for me on the matter of sassing. I swear I did not raise my daughter to be like this. If Logan and I are having an argument over something, or she has been misbehaving, and then she asks me if she can have some candy or a friend over to play, or whatever it is that she wants, I tell her not to even think about it. Then she comes back at me with "I'm thinking about it mom"! Urgggh! Some days I think I might pull all my hair out.
Also, since I'm asking, what is the easiest/best way to get kids ready and out the door for school. Yeah, can you tell I am having a bit of a struggle going on here with my kid? If there is something to be done before school, there is an argument. Shoes, socks, hair, coat/sweater, eating breakfast, getting lunch made, getting homework in backpack, putting backpack on, the list goes on. And I have 11 more years of this with her and at least one more kid to go?????AHHHH!

Pumpkin Patch

Last night for family night, we took our kids to the big red barn in Santaquin to pick out pumpkins. Logan threw a bit of a fit at first because she didn't want to put her coat on, but it was so cold outside. The girls got to each pick out the pumpkin they wanted then we went inside for some ice cream! Yummy! James had the camera at work, so we didn't get any pics, but we'll post some for halloween, and once we get our pumpkins carved!
And for those of you who are wondering, James is home safe and sound. I took the girls up to the airport on friday night to get him. We parked and went inside to wait for him at the bottom of the stairs. We were so happy to see him, and we are so happy to have him back!

Lonely girl

James has gone off to Germany this morning for work. He is training on a new machine that his work has purchased, and he will be working with soon. I miss him when he is gone like this. I just worry about the flights mostly. I hate not being able to talk to him whenever I feel like it. It's pretty frustrating. But he is only there until friday, so I suppose I can make it through the lonely week! Miss you James!

My keyboard is dusty

WOW! It's been way too long. Just call it everyday life. We are just as busy as everyone else, I'm sure, so there's really no excuse but, here are some pics from the last month or so anyway.
AUTUMN finding new friends! Yuck. I did not like finding this one in my kitchen, but at least she didn't try to eat it!

Autumn unrolling the t.p. in our bathroom

We had a short visit from my mom who was taking Kathryn back up to BYU Idaho for the new semester. We were so glad to have her come and see us! Come back again soon mom!

This girls usually eats us all under the table, but today she was more in a playing with her food mood. Can you imagine yourself doing this? Think about it. Orange face anyone?

Chow down girl!

She loves to play with the phone. We are afraid one day she will accidentally call 911.

We also had a visit from our former next door neighbors, Garrett and Deedra and their CUTE little boy, Tayson! We miss them, and had lots of fun catching up with them at one of our favorite local mexican places.

James and Jana at the Childrens Parade they put on the saturday before Labor Day. It lasted about all of 5 minutes as kids walked by. James and Logan went to the Grand Payson Onion Days Parade on Labor Day, but it was pretty much totally rained out. Darn. Maybe next year!

We got to enjoy a few carnival rides on friday night. It's family night then, so it's a lot cheaper! We had fun watching the girls together, and watching Logan get a little daring!

Daddy and his girls on the carousel ride!

Logan is third in from the left. She was screaming, but she had fun!

Choo Choo! The train broke down right at the end, so the got a push the last little bit. Still fun!

Me and Logan on the ferris wheel! It was a little freaky at first, but I had to stay calm for Logan!

I hope to keep you all a little more posted in the days to come!
